A native of Richmond, Virginia, Dr. Caudill attended Ohio State University College of Medicine, then went on to serve his internship at the University of Wisconsin. He served his medical residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, after which he spent two years as a flight surgeon in the United States Air Force. Upon completing military duty, Dr. Caudill completed his residency and went on to serve a cardiovascular medicine fellowship at the University of California – Davis. During his fellowship, Dr. Caudill served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine for a year at UC-Davis.
He began his cardiology career at Internal Medicine Specialties in Lincoln in 1974 and has been in practice for almost 30 years in Lincoln. He was one of the founders of the BryanLGH Heart Institute.
Dr. Caudill has a specialty interest in coronary artery disease, as well as interventional cardiology. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine Subspecialty Board of Cardiovascular Diseases. He has also achieved fellowship status for a number of additional professional societies, including the American College of Cardiology, American Council of Clinical Cardiology, American College of Physicians, American College of Chest Physicians and the American Society of Cardiac Angiography.
Dr. Caudill enjoys spending time with his wife Deb and their children and stepchildren, Chris II, Craig, Colin, Courtney, Kaci and Erin. He is also an avid runner and enjoys tennis, golf and scuba diving.
